About Cassidy
Cassidy Chhoeun (they/them) is a queer Cambodian-American artist based in Salem, MA. Their artwork displays a simplified style, bold colors, and textured lines. They have always been known as the “art student” growing up and is constantly found doodling on worksheets or scrap paper. Speaking isn’t their biggest skill, but most of their words and life experiences are communicated through their artwork. Cassidy’s biggest inspiration comes from the world around them and every experience is an opportunity to expand their visual library.
When not working on artistic projects, Cassidy loves trying new restaurants with their partner, spending time with their two cats (Cosmos & Zinnia), being a novice bird watcher, crocheting, watching anime, or working their office job at a law firm. Their favorite days are spent in the Peabody Essex Museum or visiting local coffee shops.
